You would plug earphones (to listen to game audio) into the earphones port of the Y-splitter. The AUX from android/iOS device would go into the mic port of the Y-splitter. To do that you would use a Y-splitter (of the right type which splits the mic and earphones part for the headset port - you do not want a headphone splitter which is something else). If you don't have a gaming headset with removable mic, then it gets trickier. Except now your iOS/Android device will be the voice changing mic. After that you can use the headset as before anywhere you want - on a PS4/XBox, or laptop. If you happen to have a gaming headset WITH removable mic, you are in luck - as you can just remove the removable mic, and plug in the AUX from iOS/Android device into the removable headset. If you want to connect to PS4/XBox, you have to convert from the AUX (TRS - stereo audio) output so that the PS4 controller can accept it (which has a TRRS headset port on the PS4 controller). If you want to just use with your PC, you would plug the AUX cable into the "line-in" port on your PC, and then make sure the voice chat or gaming program uses the audio input from that. The problem is how to use that AUX input to your PS4. These apps will output audio over an AUX cable. You can use apps like VoiceMod on iOS, or RoboVox on Android - or our app (see below):
